Having worked most of my adult life from a home office, I'm always interested in learning more about new connectivity solutions. So when a friend recommended Magic Jack, I thought I'd check it out. What follows is the Consumer Reports review which I am still digesting. Have to admit, it does look promising.

Update: Purchased a Magic Jack. For the first year of service, and the jack itself, I dropped about $50. This included a "rush" on delivery that got the unit in my mailbox in just three days.
Installation was a breeze (you literally just plug it in) and away we go! Was able to secure a good area code and even got to select an easy prefix. Calls are crystal clear. Voice mail was a breeze to set up. Can't be happier!
