Finally, someone is talking proactively about divorce. And Colorado businessman, Tom Kaufman, isn't stopping there. What he has designed goes beyond just picking up the pieces after a breakup. What he's done is set the stage for a myriad discussions that focus not only on the aftermath, but the preventative as well.
Welcome to The Next Chapter Expo. A Colorado-based exhibition that invites the stressed, the lonely, and the distraught from all over the country to come together to heal, learn and renew.
"We designed this event to serve people who are experiencing a life-altering event, such as a divorce, a breakup, or any significant change that stuns or stalls the life journey," Next Chapter Expo founder, Tom Kaufman says.
"This event is designed to create a positive timeout, an opportunity to add resources for those who want to keep their lives headed in a positive direction."
Kaufman says the expo brings together a wide range of services, products and organizations designed to help attendees move forward in their lives.
"With the credit crunch already hitting most Americans, there seems to be a lack of quality professional advice available, and our society has failed to provide an interactive plan or path for a better tomorrow. This expo offers those who can help, those who have the heart of a teacher, in order to enable attendees to create a better and brighter future."
The 2011 expo (held May 14th) included numerous speakers, exhibitors and workshops covering such topics as:
- Coming into Confidence
- Discovering the New You
- Empowering Step Families
- Helping Your Children Get Through a Divorce
- Navigating the Legal Maze of Divorce
- Financial Planning During a Divorce
- Communications in Stressful Circumstances
- Finding Happily Everafter
- And more...
Kaufman received positive reviews for his first expo, held in 2011, from such admirers as Bill Husted of the Denver Post and Swing Vote magazine. On the heels of such a successful turnout, Kaufman isn't about to stop now. He is hard at work on the 2012 followup.
